Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. With great humility and gratitude to God, I greet you as your bishop and servant. I thank the Holy Father for the confidence placed in me and I thank the faithful of this diocese for your warm welcome and prayers. The Church in this diocese is blessed with committed priests, religious men and women, catechists and dedicated lay faithful. Together we form the living body of Christ. My hope is that we continue building a self-reliant local Church that proclaims the Gospel through both word and action. I encourage every parish to strengthen prayer, family life and small Christian communities. The mission of the Church belongs to all of us. Let us care for the poor, the sick and the marginalized, remembering that Christ is present in them. May the Blessed Virgin Mary guide us as we walk together in faith and unity.
